The room provided ample space (it was a Standard Double Room). The lounges were comfortable and relaxing. The swimming pool was a welcome amenity.
The air conditioning in the room was difficult to adjust.

underwhelming and needs work

the location was acceptable. it was easy enough to walk to the centre.
i found the condition of the room shocking. the metal framed window was cracked and old, it wouldn't shut right because of too many layers of paint. the hotel hosts weekend events and they are so loud that the room shook and i could not sleep. i think it ended at about 1am, i got a few hours of sleep after that. they gave out free earplugs at reception.
